MENTOR Virginia is looking for youths ages 16-18 to join the Youth Ambassadors of Mentoring, also known as YAM.

YAM are young individuals interested in promoting change and raising awareness about issues impacting them and their peers in Virginia. This is a 6-month opportunity for young people eager to share valuable feedback and perspectives that can help improve youth mentoring programs and practices.

MENTOR Virginia’s Youth Ambassadors of Mentoring engage in advocacy efforts, discussions, and training opportunities. The program is designed to encourage collaborative learning, leadership, and networking between Ambassadors, mentoring program professionals, adult decision-makers, and youth mentors. Ambassadors will participate in various activities to help them acquire in-depth knowledge of mentoring relationships and programs, and how they can contribute to program development.

Applications will be open until May 8th. To apply, click this link.

To learn more about the program and meet the current Ambassadors, visit the YAM webpage.
