We're thrilled to introduce Dr. Tameshia V. Grimes as MENTOR Virginia's new Executive Director! Dr. Grimes brings extraordinary experience as a public educator since the late 1990s, serving as teacher, coach, principal, and most recently as division superintendent from 2019-2025.

Dr. Grimes understands firsthand the transformative power of mentorship. As a student, she benefited from the guidance of her high school counselor, forensics coach, and AP English teacher. Later, the faculty at Randolph-Macon College encouraged her to overcome shyness and embrace leadership opportunities.

Throughout her impressive career spanning education and human resources, Dr. Grimes has consistently paid forward the mentorship she received by developing teachers, administrators, and students. She believes deeply in the power of positive relationships and our responsibility to "keep the blessings flowing."

Her journey from shy student to division superintendent exemplifies our core belief: mentoring changes lives. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Grimes to the MENTOR Virginia family👏!
