MENTOR Virginia is looking for young people ages 16-18 to join the next cohort of Youth Ambassadors of Mentoring (YAM).

The Youth Ambassadors of Mentoring are young individuals on a mission to change how mentoring programs serve youth. Through this 6-month program, YAM are empowered in promoting change and raising awareness about issues impacting them and their peers in Virginia. Additionally, the program gives young people the opportunity to share valuable feedback and perspectives that can help improve youth mentoring programs across the Commonwealth.

Ambassadors engage in advocacy efforts, such as Capitol Hill Day, and participate in conversations and training opportunities with experts in the mentoring and advocacy fields. The program is designed to encourage collaborative learning between Ambassadors, and for YAM to develop leadership and networking skills. Youth Ambassadors of Mentoring are leaders and changemakers!
