We recently achieved a milestone: 30 years of working closely with mentors and mentoring programs, serving as a catalyst for the expansion of high-quality youth mentoring relationships in Virginia. An achievement made possible because of people who have supported us for three decades.

Today we celebrate #GivingTuesday, a day when the power of generosity is displayed around the world in many ways. And for those who would like to support us, this event is the perfect opportunity to do so. However, the Giving Tuesday initiative is not just a one-day giving back event, it’s a way to show support for the causes you truly believe in all year round. Your donation can make a significant impact on the lives of young people.

A $5.00 gift can help us deliver training programs to new and existing mentors. By developing and deploying mentoring programs, we are closing the mentoring gap that exists today. This means that we are helping more young people in need of a mentor to have access to a qualified, caring adult for guidance and support.    

In the next few years, MENTOR Virginia will focus on advancing the youth mentoring movement such that more young people will have access to research-based, quality mentoring relationships that support their thriving. With that in mind, we have a lot of work to do and a lot more to give—and you can be part of it.
