As the Founder and Executive Director of R.E.A.L Girlz (Responsible, Empowered, and Loved), she has dedicated more than 18 years to developing innovative programs that inspire confidence, leadership, workforce readiness, and healthy relationships among young women.
Through R.E.A.L. Girlz, she has designed and led impactful initiatives, including the Mentor & Leadership Academy, Little Sister Mentoring Program, SumHER Experience, and SumHER WORKS, equipping hundreds of young women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed academically, professionally, and personally. In March of this year, Tammie was awarded the 2026 Central Virginia Most Remarkable Woman Finalist. Tammie is a mother to two sons and in her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Michael R. Morgan is the Founder and President of A Few Good MENtors, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to guiding boys and young men ages 8–21 into adulthood with purpose, confidence, and integrity. Inspired by the example of his parents and grounded in faith, Michael launched AFGM in 2019 to address the challenges faced by young men in the absence of consistent role
models.
Michael previously served for 36 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he conducted countless interviews, trained and mentored colleagues, and developed expertise in leadership, discipline, and resilience. His federal service provides a unique foundation for the practical and impactful approach he brings to mentorship today.
Under his leadership, AFGM has grown into a trusted community partner, delivering programs rooted in the organization’s S.H.I.E.L.D.S. values: Spirituality, Health, Integrity, Leadership, Development, and Stewardship. Michael is also a certified DISC instructor, author, and speaker who equips mentors, parents, and community leaders with actionable tools to impact the next generation.
Michael’s mission is simple yet powerful: to show that just one hour a week can change a young person’s life and, in turn, strengthen entire communities.
