Then becoming a VISTA Host Site through MENTOR Virginia may be ideal for you!
VISTA projects focus on the following areas:

- Volunteer Recruitment and Retention
- Partnership and Resource Development

Alexa Augone | Communities in Schools of Chesterfield (Chesterfield, VA)
Project Highlights: Alexa has been working on developing a workforce development mentoring program for students in Chesterfield County, as well as centralizing mentor training efforts across the district.
Ayannah Bowman-Williams | Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club (Richmond, VA)
Project Highlights: Ayannah has been working on developing and piloting a STEM-focused youth mentoring program for youth and teens who participate in programs at the SABGC.
Yvonnia Bryant | C4K (Charlottesville, VA)
Project Highlights: Yvonnia has been working on developing and implementing a marketing and outreach plan centered around elevating the voices of youth who participate in their programs.
Jessie Fittro | Abundant Life (Charlottesville, VA)
Project Highlights: Jessie has been working on enhancing program data management systems in order to streamline their onboarding and tracking process for the influx of new volunteers.
Antonio Mielak | MENTOR Virginia (Richmond, VA)
Project Highlights: Antonio has been working on developing a youth advisory council for youth leaders involved in mentoring programs across the state.
Briana Oyler | Germanna Community College (Fredericksburg, VA)
Project Highlights: Briana has been working on developing, implementing, and sustaining three mentoring programs–including a campus-wide program–for Germanna students, each at various stages of development.
Ayra Pazhwak | MEGA Mentors (Chesterfield, VA)
Project Highlights: Arya has been working on developing mentor policies and procedures focused on virtual mentoring and revised mentoring program curriculum for grades 6-12.
Andrea Wiegard | For Kids, Inc. (Norfolk, VA)
Project Highlights: Andrea has been working on developing mentoring policies and procedures, and has created a process for screening/enrolling mentees, matching mentors/mentees, and monitoring matches in alignment with best practices.
